What to Bring For On Campus Living

 

Getting ready to move into your room Å·ÃÀAƬ is one of the most exciting times of the year. It's fun to reflect your personality and create a relaxing haven in the midst of campus.

You will be free to customize your space - decorating possibilities are endless as long as you remember to abide by some basic guidelines. Housing and Residence Life has put together a list of things that will help you organize for your move-in to campus, including a list of items that are not allowed and should be left at home. Be sure to get in touch with your roommate(s) and suitemates to coordinate items that can be shared (such as rugs, appliances, décor, etc.)

WHAT TO BRING

COOKING AND MEAL PREP
ATM Waterfront Lofts (2nd Floor Lofts Only): Single-serve coffee maker (k-cups or pods), blender, rice cooker, NuWave Pro Infrared Oven, microwave (between 1,000 - 2,000 watts) - 1 PER UNIT. Coordinate with your roommates/loftmates! Some units may have a microwave already. Please note that once it no longer works, residents are responsible for purchasing their own microwave (only new, unused microwaves permitted), if desired.

ATM Waterfront Lofts (2nd Floor Studios Only): Single-serve coffee maker (k-cups or pods), microwave (between 1,000 - 2,000 watts). Coordinate with your roommate(s)! Some units may have a microwave already. Please note that once it no longer works, residents are responsible for purchasing their own microwave (only new, unused microwaves permitted), if desired.

ATM 3rd Floor residences: No cooking appliances of any kind are allowed in the 3rd Floor residences bedrooms. However, there is a common kitchenette with a microwave and fridge that everyone on the floor can use for simple snack prep only. New, unused mini-fridge OR microwave (1 per room IF space is available) with PRE-APPROVAL from Housing and Residence Life. Email housing@hpu.edu for details.
