Scholarships

At HPU we understand that college is one of the most important investments you will make in life, which is why we would like to encourage you to see what aid may be available to you.

HPU offers competitive merit scholarships, talent scholarships, athletic scholarships, and other need and non-need scholarships/grants through the admissions process. New incoming freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for all available merit scholarships at the time of admissions with no separate application being required. The FAFSA is required for need-based awards.

All institutional scholarships and grants require full-time enrollment (12-plus credit hours per semester) to receive the award. Institutional scholarships and grants will not disburse until the student has started at least 12 credit hours of courses. Failure to maintain full-time enrollment may result in a loss of these awards. In addition, annual tuition scholarships are renewable. The award is divided between fall/spring semesters towards the completion of an undergraduate bachelor's degree. Maximum eight consecutive semesters (fall/spring).

We also offer aid to graduate students.

HPU awards scholarships/grants to members of certain minority groups based on the basis of their race/ethnicity.

Notification: Award Adjustments to HPU Institutional Aid

HPU reserves the right to reduce, cancel or substitute any institutional scholarship/grant at any time. Tuition support from all sources cannot exceed the actual cost of tuition. If a student received tuition benefits/payments made directly to the institution, such as employer tuition, 529 tuition payments, VA tuition benefits, or external scholarships stating for tuition, that equal or exceed 90% of a student’s total tuition, all HPU institutional scholarships and grants, applicable to tuition only, including tuition waivers, will be canceled. If the tuition benefits/payments are less than 90% of a student’s total tuition, HPU institutional scholarships and grants, including tuition waivers, may be reduced or canceled.
