I have been a Registered Nurse for 37 years.  I grew up in Wisconsin and joined the Army Nurse Corps after I graduated from college.  I spent about 11 years active duty and 2 ½ years in the Reserve.  I decided to stay in Hawaii when I got out of the Army and have worked mostly in mental health and gerontology for the past 20 years.  I have been teaching Å·ÃÀAƬ for 18 ½ years.  Initially I was an adjunct and taught one course and then in August 2009 I became a full-time instructor Å·ÃÀAƬ.

Presentations and Publications

I recently presented to the Global Virtual Summit on Healthcare and Management from London, England on two nursing programs and the differences found in knowledge and attitudes toward the older adult.

Have submitted my doctoral dissertation for publication in Gerontological Nursing and have been approved but have to submit some revisions for attempt at final approval.
