As a board-certified clinical specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, Dr. Monti has extensive experience working with various outpatient musculoskeletal conditions.  His special interests and research have involved upper extremity conditions and the overhead athlete at all levels of competition, with a particular emphasis in pediatric sports.  Previously Dr. Monti completed an accredited Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship Program where he worked in professional baseball.  Beyond these settings, he has lectured and published literature on several baseball-related topics.  

Prior academic teaching experience has involved physical therapy education as core faculty within Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant Programs since 2020.  Specific areas of teaching interests have included various examination and therapeutic interventions in the management of musculoskeletal conditions.  Dr. Monti has previously completed an accredited physical therapy faculty residency utilizing blended learning teaching frameworks.  Additionally, he has provided post-professional education within orthopaedic and sports physical therapy residencies and fellowships for upper extremity-related content since 2017. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and his three children.
