Concurrent Registration
Concurrent Registration enables motivated students to get a head start on their master's degree while still an undergraduate student. Through concurrent registration eligible HPU undergraduate students may enroll in certain graduate courses and earn both graduate and undergraduate credit simultaneously for the same course. These courses may be used toward a graduate program to save you time and money.
Concurrent Registration allows you to:
- Shorten the time it takes to earn a master's degree
- Save tuition costs
- Take courses that fit your major
- Benefit from academic advising that meets your needs
ELIGIBILITY:
- Have 90 earned credits towards his or her declared baccalaureate degree (including current term and transfer credits).
- Have a cumulative HPU GPA of at least 3.00 on a minimum of 15 earned HPU credits
- Individual programs may have additional requirements, please see academic advisor for details

Complete and submit a Concurrent Registration Form to obtain approval from both the undergraduate academic advisor and graduate program chair. The CRF must be submitted and approved prior to course registration.

- Meet with your Academic Advisor:
- Your academic advisor will assist you with identifying what undergraduate requirements you might be able to fill with graduate course/s through concurrent registration.

- Learn more about graduate programs and graduate courses offered Å·ÃÀAƬ, including which program and course/s would best meet your academic and career goals.
- Identify which graduate course/s you want to register for and the corresponding semester.
- Work with your undergraduate academic advisor to complete the .

The student must begin a graduate degree or certificate program at Hawai‘i Pacific Å·ÃÀAƬ within one year of completing the undergraduate degree in order for credits to apply toward a graduate degree. Graduate-level credits will not be applied to graduate transcript until the student is accepted, admitted, and enrolled in the graduate degree or graduate certificate program.

A maximum of 12 graduate credits taken as an undergraduate may apply toward the student’s baccalaureate degree AND a master’s degree Å·ÃÀAƬ.

A maximum of 8 graduate credits taken as an undergraduate may apply toward a graduate certificate.
If you’re interested in applying your credit towards an eligible HPU Graduate Program, you will need to complete a Graduate Application after you’ve completed your Petition to Graduate and registered for your last/final semester as an undergraduate student.
