Kalo Terrace

Kalo Terrace Student Suites (1054 Kalo Place) is located in a student friendly neighborhood, with close proximity to shops/stores, banks, post office, library, restaurants and fast food eateries. Starting in fall 2024, only HPU students will be housed at Kalo Terrace, offering students an affordable apartment-style housing option. Each apartment will have four bedrooms (double occupancy) and two bathrooms, for a total of eight students per apartment.

Students may sign up for housing on a semester-by-semester basis, making it a convenient option for students who plan to study abroad during the year. Housing is also available at Kalo over the summer months for students taking classes, participating in research, or completing an internship, which gives students an affordable option to stay in HPU housing year-round. Housing is billed directly to your HPU account; no credit checks or co-signatures are required.

The property location is near bus lines to the downtown campus--about 12 minutes from the Aloha Tower Marketplace. We will be providing shuttle service from Kalo Terrace Apartments to the downtown campus buildings. More details on the shuttle time and service will be provided shortly. Alternatively, students may also catch a city bus a block away from the Kalo Terrace with a direct route to downtown where HPU’s classes are held. Students may use the UPass to ride TheBus, as it’s known; it has routes that cover all of O‘ahu, including a popular Beach Bus.

While there is a kitchen, students may opt-in to a Pier Nine meal plan. These apartments are available for continuing students, transfers, graduate students, and visiting/exchange students.
