Learn more about the typical dishes found at a lū‘au. Join Chez Neilson at a sit-down meal and “talk story” about how these dishes have been passed down to her family through the generations. Learn more about why lū‘au’s and these dishes are significant in Hawai‘i. The menu will include your choice of chicken lau lau or pork lau lau: poi, squid lū‘au, kālua pig, lomi salmon, chicken long rice and ‘uala (sweet potato). No substitutions or vegetarian/vegan options are available.

Please arrive at the front of the Student Services Center (5A) at Waterfront Plaza at 11:30am for lunch and 5:30pm for dinner to check-in and leave to walk to Highway Inn (wear comfortable walking shoes). You must show proof vaccination or negative COVID test results taken within 48 hours of this event to enter the restaurant (HPU green badge will not be accepted).
