HPU's OTD program boasts an innovative curriculum, a team of dedicated faculty, and brand-new facilities being built in Las Vegas for the Doctor of Occupational and Doctor of Physical Therapy programs. ACOTE's accreditation signifies a thorough evaluation process, ensuring the program adheres to the highest standards of quality and effectiveness in occupational therapy education.
“The Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in Las Vegas (OTD-LV) is honored to be awarded candidacy status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)!” Robyn Otty, OTD, OTR/L, BCPR, FAOTA, HPU Program Director of the Las Vegas OTD program remarked. She continued, ”This achievement represents the crucial step in our accreditation journey and based on the united effort and dedication of the entire OTD—LV faculty-leadership team. We are so excited to welcome the inaugural cohort, Class of 2026 in August 2024 to share the exclusive experience of engaging with faculty and bonding with the Las Vegas community.”
The ACOTE candidacy process involves an in-depth review of mission, curriculum, faculty qualifications, and student outcomes. HPU OTD—LV is actively collaborating with ACOTE evaluators, providing comprehensive documentation to showcase its commitment to excellence in occupational therapy education.
