HPU Men's Basketball Players at Manoa Elementary School.
Members and coaches of the HPU Men's Basketball Team conducted a basketball clinic at Manoa Elementary School for students in grades K-4 on Friday, Sept. 30. The clinic was a part of an ongoing community service project at the school organized by Associate Head Coach Jesse Nakanishi.

Previously, team members had been invited into classes to read books to the students in various grade levels. They also took part in question-and-answer sessions and participated in recess activities in the school's gym. Freshman Kemp Van Es commented on the experience of volunteering to read to the students at the school, "Working at Manoa Elementary School was an awesome learning experience for my teammates and I." The team will be returning to Manoa Elementary on Wednesday, Oct. 26 to take part in the school's annual bicycle helmet safety day.
