HPU Honors students participated in a field trip for their Hon. 1100: Pacific Worlds class on February 22, 2025. The course is co-taught by Professor of History Jon Davidann, Ph.D., and Associate Professor of Environmental Science Andrew Greene, Ph.D. The trip covered both the natural and human history of Oahu. The photo was taken at the Pali Lookout, where students learned about the giant landslide that shaped the windward side of the island and the Battle of Nuuanu, which played a crucial role in the formation of the modern Hawaiian Kingdom.
